Quick answers before you call

What should I check before I call for HVAC repair?

A few safe things. Confirm the thermostat is set correctly and its batteries are good, check for a tripped breaker, change a dirty filter, make sure supply vents are open, and clear leaves or grass clippings from around the outdoor unit. Anything involving gas, refrigerant or high voltage is ours to handle.

Do you repair heat pumps as well as furnaces and AC?

Yes. Heat pumps are common across the states we serve, and they cool in summer and heat in winter, so a fault shows up year round. We handle reversing valves, defrost boards, contactors, capacitors, refrigerant issues and airflow problems on split systems and packaged units.

I smell gas near my furnace. What do I do?

Leave the building right away and take everyone with you. From outside, call 911 or your gas utility and let them shut things down and clear the house. Do not flip switches or use the thermostat. Once the utility says it is safe, call us for the heater repair.

How fast can someone get out to me?

It depends on the day and where you are in our eight-state area, but we prioritise homes with no cooling in heat or no heat in freezing weather. Call and describe the symptom and we will give you a realistic window rather than a guess.

Is it worth repairing an older air conditioner?

Often yes, especially if the failure is a single component like a capacitor, contactor or blower motor. We look at the coil condition, compressor health and how much corrosion the outdoor unit has taken. Then we lay out the repair and the replacement path and let you decide.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill in the quote form. We ask what changed, when it started, and what the thermostat reads against the actual room temperature. That short conversation tells us what parts to load on the truck.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

A technician checks the thermostat, the electrical side, airflow through the filter and coil, refrigerant behaviour and the outdoor unit. You get a plain explanation of what failed and why, before any work starts.

  3. Step 3

    Repair and verify

We make the repair, then run the system through a full cycle and measure temperatures at the supply and return. If something upstream caused the failure, we tell you so it does not repeat.

Why homeowners call us

  • We know salt airCoastal homes lose condenser coils to salt corrosion years before inland systems do. We look for fin damage and pitted line sets on every visit, because a clean-looking unit can still be shedding capacity from the outside in.
  • Humidity is part of the jobHurricane-season air loads a system in ways a temperature reading will not show. If your house feels clammy at 74 degrees, we look at run times, airflow and drainage rather than just adding refrigerant and leaving.
  • Crawlspace realitiesHigh water tables mean wet ground under ductwork, rusted plenums and condensate lines with nowhere good to drain. We check what is happening under the floor, since that is often where comfort problems actually begin.
  • Straight answersWe tell you what failed, what it will take to fix, and whether a repair makes sense on an older system. No pressure to replace something that has honest years left in it, and no vague diagnosis.
  • All major brands, gas & electricIndependent service on Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, York and the rest.
  • Straight answersWhen a replacement beats a repair, we tell you, sometimes before we roll a truck.

A failing system does not get cheaper by waiting

Heating and cooling problems rarely fix themselves, and a struggling system usually gets louder and more expensive the longer it runs that way. Whether you need air conditioning repair in August or heating repair in a cold snap, reach out. Call us or send the quote form and we will get you scheduled.
